Apartment Renters Guide
Rental
Documents you will need to rent an apartment in Manhattan
- Once you find your dream New York City apartment, you will
need to submit the following :(for each applicant)
- Letter of employment stating position, length of employment
and gross annual income on letter-head stationary from
company.
- Copy of your most recent pay stub(s)
- Copy of W-2 or front page of income tax statement.
- Copy of most recent Bank statement
- Letter of reference from previous Landlord
- Personal letter of reference
- Business reference letter.
- Clear copy of Driver's License
- Copy of Social Security Card
- In some New York City apartments you may only need an
employment letter and a copy of your last pay stub, in any
other event a Guarantor Cosigner), may be required.
